ready for the wilderness...

have you ever felt like a kid? well let me restate that, has God ever answered your prayers so differently than the previous times that God has answered them that you are just mesmerized? (was that a run on sentence?) for the past two weeks, i have seen God answer two prayers: one prayer was prayed a month ago and one prayer was prayed a year ago. i am glad that God answered both. i want to run back in my journal even now and say, 'God, now that You have this hop scotch pattern going on, can You please answer these prayers also?' God has a sense of humor. i never get bored with my relationship with God. if you ever meet a bored Christian, they are probably not participating in the relationship. how do you participate? do daily bible study - give God an hour of meditation and wrestling with the Word and allow Holy Spirit to teach you. do prayer daily - open your heart and ears to the voice of God - God will talk in a still, calm voice (stop looking for Darth Vader). worship God - you do not have to dance on Sunday's/ Saturday's worship or evening at prayer service, sing some love songs to Abba. invite the angels to break dance and rejoice with you. its better than a rock crying out on your behalf.
February 17Th 2010 to April 4Th is the Lenten season in the Christian community. its a time of reflection, repentance, seeking, soaking, prayer, fasting, bible study, worship. its a time where you seek God for your own consecration. you want to be a better you. you look at the mirror of the Word, coupled with prayer, fasting, worship, to say, 'Abba, what's up? i want to be the wo/man of God, that You are calling me to be. can You meet me daily at this time and place? i want to start healthy spiritually/physical/professional/emotional behavioral pattern that will improve me. i want to stop unhealthy spiritually/physical/professional/emotional behaviors.
in Psalm 1:1-6 the following is recorded:1 Blessed is the wo/man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But her/his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law s/he meditates day and night.

3 S/He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever s/he does prospers.

4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.

God, lent is coming yet i am seeking You now. God reveal to me in Your Word, in my heart, through Holy Spirit, through praise and worship, what i must commit myself to do. God i want to know if my relationship with You pleases You and the other relationships I have pleases you. God i want to know if my time with You is sufficient. God i want to bear a lot of fruit on my tree. God i want to remain planted in You. God order my steps in Your Word. God continue to watch over me. In Jesus' name, amen.
get ready, get ready, get ready.
