this is a cool verse because it is actually God who wakes us up each morning. God usually calls me around the same time each morning. after i refresh, i say, "Good morning God and i grab my journal to see where i left off from the day before, i meditate on the text for about 15 minutes. i ask Holy Spirit to help me understand how each verse appeals to me. i pray the verses over my life. i did not noticed that i am not physically hungry until i have my spiritual breakfast. what about you?
if you do your personal bible study at night, i would still encourage you to say Good morning, Good afternoon and Good night to God. its fun. today, i was sitting in the guest bedroom watching television and the sun pierced through the windows and shone in my eyes. i whispered, 'Hi God' in my heart and the sun shined brighter. it actually encouraged me to pray for the people at the US Open.
God, You will hear my voice in the morning. Lord, in the morning, I will direct my voice to You. I will look up. in Jesus' name, amen
