a few weeks ago, i was in the midst of tropical storm Emily. the skies were grey and cloudless. the rain poured like an uncontrollable faucet. my heart cried out to God for people to seek Peace and help from Abba and not in things made in this world. i also asked God for mercy, grace and protection for my family.
this week, the storms name is Irene. the prayers are similar. i do not yield to worry or doubt. i find peace in God's arms.
Philippians 4.6-9 states: Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you.
the media can sensationalize about a lot things, yet people need to be obedient in terms of mandatory evacuations and/or staying inside your homes during the storms.
pray Philippians 4.6-9 until you believe the Word of God. let the Peace of God saturate your heart, your mind and your soul.
