are you letting God do a new thing?

on Friday, i decided to take a mental health day on Monday.  I slept an extra hour.  I even went to bed at 630pm.  Most of all, I sought God.  If you are going to take a mental health day, you might as well seek a Word from God.  I did the regular personal bible study and prayer.  I wanted more.  I went to worship with other believers and en route to service, while I was at service, and on the way home from service, I prayed.  I wanted to make sure I heard Holy Spirit clearly, without any static.  the scripture that was read was from Isaiah 43.18-19 which states "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness [And] rivers in the desert." The scripture resonated in my belly.  I pray the verses daily and I am awaiting for the new thing that God wants to do in my life.  As the deer pants for the water brook, I thirst for the new thing in my life.  I will not restrict what God wants to do in my life for I want more of God...more of God's love, more of God's joy, more of God's peace.
