3 buckets of water

my girlfriend from Orlando called me on Sunday morning. she was watching the news and she wanted to provide some color commentary. i was patient. i wanted to return to my quiet time. because of the storm, i was worship God at home rather than with other believers. it was cool though because God's presence filled my bedroom.

she admonished me to fill the tub with water and/or have buckets of water available. i asked, 'why?' i knew why. i was just being fascias. she said, 'if the power goes out, at least you will have water to cook, to bathe, and to flush the toilet.' she testified how she had been through 3 tornadoes and the last one left her without power for 4 days. i admonished her to spend time with Abba in the word, in addition to have an awesome worship. before hanging up, she told me she would call me last night to see if i experienced any ramifications.

i retrieved 3 buckets and i filled them up. i left them in the lavatory. i text ed her stating that i heeded her advise. she said okay.

i am unsure why i filled up the buckets. i listened to her advise based on her experience. i had asked God to have mercy on me even before the storm started. i said, 'God, please keep my power on, my telephone working, my water pure. and my home safe.' God honored my prayer. this morning, a few plants were laying down yet they shall rise again.

i have 3 buckets of water to utilize over the next few days.

Proverbs 17.17 states A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

God. I thank you for my friend whom I love. God help me be a friend with and through Your love. in Jesus' name, amen
